Biography

Ezra Woods is a multi-disciplinary creative who has recently made a major impact on the Hollywood landscape as a screenwriter and close collaborator of Jonah Hill. A fourth-generation Angeleno, Woods grew up in a family of florists, an upbringing that deeply influenced his sensory and aesthetic sensibilities. Before moving into film, he built a successful career as a high-end fashion stylist in Los Angeles and co-founded the luxury perfume brand Régime des Fleurs in 2014. His work in fragrance, often described as "postmodern and alchemical," focuses on storytelling through scent, an approach that has clearly translated into his narrative writing. To be honest, his transition from the world of luxury goods to major studio screenwriting has been incredibly swift. He is the co-writer, alongside Jonah Hill, of the 2026 Apple Original film Outcome, starring Keanu Reeves and Cameron Diaz. The script is noted for its sharp, dark humor and its exploration of celebrity culture and personal accountability. Beyond Outcome, the duo has already completed work on their next collaboration, the sibling comedy Cut Off, scheduled for a summer 2026 release. Woods’ ability to blend his background in aesthetic direction with character-driven storytelling has made him one of the most interesting new voices in the Strong Baby Productions circle.
