Christian Gudegast is an American screenwriter, director, and producer known for his work in gritty, high-stakes action thrillers. A graduate of UCLA Film School, he began his career directing rap music videos before moving into feature screenwriting. He co-wrote action films like A Man Apart and London Has Fallen, establishing a reputation for hard-edged storytelling. Gudegast made his directorial debut with Den of Thieves in 2018, a crime drama that earned praise for its realism and layered characters. He returns to direct and write the sequel, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, continuing the story of high-level heists and law enforcement brinkmanship. Known for his detailed approach to plot and character, Gudegast blends procedural precision with emotional depth. He often explores themes of loyalty, strategy, and moral ambiguity within crime-driven narratives. The son of actor Eric Braeden, he brings both creative vision and production insight to his work.
