Evin Ahmad is a Swedish‑Kurdish actress and author known for her commanding performances across European and global screens. Raised in Stockholm’s Akalla district by Kurdish parents from Iraq and Syria, Ahmad studied at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts and began acting in 2007 with Ett öga rött. She earned critical praise for her 2017 lead in Beyond Dreams, winning Best Actress at the Duhok International Film Festival. Her breakout roles came in popular Netflix Nordic series: the Danish sci‑fi thriller The Rain (as Kira) and the crime drama Quicksand (as Evin Orak). In 2021 she landed the lead in Netflix’s Snabba Cash as Leya—a performance that earned her a European Shooting Star accolade at Berlinale 2022. Her first major English‑language role came in the Netflix thriller Who Is Erin Carter? (2023), where she starred as Erin, expanding her international presence.
