Craig Gillespie is an acclaimed Australian-American film and television director known for his sharp visual style and ability to blend dark comedy with emotional depth. He first gained critical recognition for the indie hit "Lars and the Real Girl" (2007) and the horror remake Fright Night (2011). He achieved widespread success with the biopic "I, Tonya" (2017), which earned critical praise for its unique narrative structure. He also directed the Disney live-action hit "Cruella" (2021) and the GameStop stock saga film "Dumb Money" (2023). Most notably, he is the director of the upcoming DC Universe (DCU) blockbuster "Supergirl" (also known as Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow), scheduled for release in June 2026. The film stars Milly Alcock and is a key part of the new DC slate produced by James Gunn.
