Damini “Burna Boy” Ogulu (born July 2, 1991, Port Harcourt, Nigeria) rose to global fame as a Grammy-winning musician, but has steadily built a credible on-screen presence. He expanded his filmography with a supporting role in the Pan‑African thriller 3 Cold Dishes (2025), alongside Nollywood heavyweights, marking his deeper venture into continental cinema. Before acting, Burna Boy conquered the music world: his breakthrough album African Giant (2019) earned a Grammy nod, and Twice as Tall (2020) won Best World Music Album in 2021. He’s continued that momentum, releasing Love, Damini (2022) and in 2024 dropped “Higher,” which became the most-streamed solo African song on Spotify in one day and earned another Grammy nomination. His on‑screen forays include a cameo in his own music film Sittin’ on Top of the World (2023), showcasing his crossover appeal.
