Biography
Ijapari Ben-Hirki is a Nigerian actress, model, event planner, and humanitarian known for her compelling performances on film and television. She holds a degree in Mass Communication from Covenant University, which gave her a solid foundation for the storytelling work she does. Japari’s screen credits include I Do Not Come To You By Chance and Finding Nina. Beyond acting, she works in event planning and is passionate about using her influence to support social causes. She has spoken in interviews about growing up wanting to work in TV, inspired by figures like Oprah Winfrey and Mo Abudu, and later admiring Genevieve Nnaji. Her journey into acting formally began in 2019, though she had made appearances in plays from a young age. She takes care to prepare deeply for her roles — reading scripts multiple times, researching characters, and stepping fully into the roles she plays. Japari is also vocal about cultural representation, particularly for minority northern Nigerian backgrounds, and would love to portray roles that challenge stereotypes. As she continues building her career she aims to play unpredictable characters and even a powerful African princess figure, combining artistry with purpose.
