Biography
Jide Pounds Ibitoye is a Nigerian filmmaker, photographer, actor and content creator. He hails from Iree in Osun State and studied Performing Arts at the University of Ilorin. He is the founder and CEO of Jide Pounds Ibitoye Studios, where he uses imagery to tell stories rooted in Lagos life—its energy, struggle, and beauty. Early in his career, he embraced photographic art, direction, and retouching, gradually branching into cinematography and film production. His credits include short films like Abike Ati Asola, Kings of No Nation and Beneath. Jide has also acted across several projects. In 2025, he earned a nomination for Best Digital Content Creator at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. Beyond film, he trains upcoming creatives in editing, art direction and visual storytelling. He believes a good camera should feel like the eye of a poet—capturing what lies inside and out. With a growing presence online and in Nigeria’s creative scene, he continues to push boundaries in film and visual art.
