Marvin Jones III is an American actor and rapper who has carved out a unique niche playing formidable, sophisticated crime lords. An African-American man with albinism, he has often spoken about how his distinctive physical appearance helped him connect with specific comic book characters who share his condition. In 2026, he makes franchise history with "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" (July 2026). He has been officially cast as the live-action version of Tombstone (Lonnie Lincoln), the indestructible Harlem crime boss. This casting is significant because Jones already voices the character in the animated Spider-Verse films (Into the Spider-Verse and the upcoming Beyond the Spider-Verse). He is one of the rare actors to play the same comic book character in both animation and live-action within two different continuities. Prior to this, he was best known for his acclaimed performance as the menacing Tobias Whale in the DC series "Black Lightning" (2018–2021) and for his music career as Krondon, a member of the hip-hop group Strong Arm Steady.
