Biography
Miguel José Ferrer (1955–2017) was an American actor and voice artist renowned for his compelling portrayals of complex characters. Born in Santa Monica, California, to actor José Ferrer and singer Rosemary Clooney, he was the eldest of five siblings, including actor Rafael Ferrer and cousin to George Clooney. Initially pursuing a career in music, Ferrer played drums on Keith Moon's 1975 solo album Two Sides of the Moon before transitioning to acting in the early 1980s. He gained prominence with his role as the ambitious executive Bob Morton in the 1987 film RoboCop. Ferrer also portrayed FBI agent Albert Rosenfield in David Lynch's Twin Peaks, a role he reprised in the 2017 revival. His other notable television appearances include Crossing Jordan and NCIS: Los Angeles. On the big screen, he appeared in films such as Traffic and Iron Man 3. Additionally, Ferrer lent his voice to characters in animated films like Mulan and Rio 2. Ferrer passed away on January 19, 2017, at the age of 61. His legacy endures through his diverse and memorable performances across film, television, and animation.
