Biography
Olayinka Abimbola Egbokhare is a Nigerian author and academic based in Ibadan. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan, where she serves as a senior lecturer in the Department of Communication and Language Arts. Her teaching focuses on writing skills and advertising message development. Egbokhare's notable work includes the novel Dazzling Mirage, which tells the story of a young woman living with sickle cell anemia. The novel was adapted into a film by Tunde Kelani's Mainframe Productions and received the Audience Choice Award at the Nollywood Week Paris Film Festival. Her passion for writing was nurtured during her time at the Federal Government Girls College, New-Bussa, Niger State, under the guidance of her English teacher, Mrs. Ubah. Egbokhare continues to contribute to literature and academia, residing in Ibadan with her husband, Francis Egbokhare, and their children.
