Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba is the widow of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. Following Mohbad’s death on September 12, 2023, Omowunmi has been actively involved in legal actions to protect his estate and the rights of their only surviving child, Master Liam Aloba. In late 2025 she filed a formal legal notice at the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, to block unauthorized claims on Mohbad’s property and ensure that Letters of Administration can only be issued to lawful beneficiaries — herself and her son. She has also been involved in ongoing public and family disputes over paternity and estate matters, including a court-ordered DNA test related to her child’s paternity.
