Biography

Peta Dunstall is a British hair and makeup designer with a long career in film and television. She’s worked in the makeup department on a wide range of projects, contributing to both character styling and main design roles. Her credits include major films like United 93 (2006), Blitz (2011), Eternals (2021) and more recent work as hair and makeup designer on Back to Black (2024), the biopic of Amy Winehouse, where she helped recreate some of the singer’s most iconic looks. Dunstall has also worked on projects such as Deadpool & Wolverine (2024), Hamnet (2025) and Speak No Evil (2024), often credited as key hair or makeup artist. She brings detailed period and character styling to her work, blending practical techniques with creative research. Based in the UK, she continues to work across high‑profile films, balancing design and execution in makeup and hair for cinema.
