Biography
Robert O. Peters is a Nigerian film director, producer, cinematographer, actor, and voice-over artist. He was born on June 6, 1973, in Sabon Gari, Kaduna State, Nigeria, to Lawrence Adagba and Comfort Peters. He is the second of eight children and hails from Ososo in the Akoko Edo local government area of Edo State. Peters attended St. Gregory Primary School in Kaduna and later obtained a degree in Geology and Mining from the University of Jos. In 2004, he relocated to the United States, where he pursued a certificate in Visual Storytelling at New York University. He furthered his training with REDucation, focusing on Red camera and equipment, and gained hands-on experience with Film Career Connection in Atlanta. Peters began his career as an actor in Nigeria, featuring in the 1998 movie "Mama Sunday" and the daytime series "Everyday People" in 2002. Transitioning to roles behind the camera, he has directed and produced several notable films, including: "30 Days in Atlanta" (2014) Shades of Attractions" (2015) Boxing Day" (2016) A Trip to Jamaica" (2016) Small Chops" (2020) His directorial work on "30 Days in Atlanta" was particularly acclaimed, with the film being recognized in the 2017 Guinness Book of Records for its box office success. Peters continues to contribute significantly to the Nigerian and international film industries through his multifaceted roles and creative endeavors.
