Rolie Nikiwe
Biography
Rolie Nikiwe is a multi-award-winning South African film director and creative producer with over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He is renowned for his work on acclaimed productions such as Matatiele (2015), A Place Called Home (2006), and A Soweto Love Story (2024). Nikiwe co-created the long-running musical drama series Rhythm City and served as its creative director from 2007 to 2013. He also directed the award-winning drama series Intersexions and the feature film Nothing for Mahala (2013). His production company, Branded Soul Productions, has been instrumental in producing impactful South African television dramas, including Matatiele and Isipho. Nikiwe's work has earned him multiple accolades, including a Peabody Award. He continues to be a sought-after speaker and mentor in the industry, sharing his expertise and passion for storytelling.
