Zelipa Zulu is a UK-based screenwriter, script editor, and concept creator with over 15 years of experience in film and television. A three-time SAFTA winner, she has contributed to numerous acclaimed productions across Africa and the UK. Zulu co-wrote Blood Sisters, Nigeria's first Netflix original series produced by EbonyLife, which debuted in the top 10 in over 30 countries. Her first feature film, Blues for Azania (2007), tells the poignant story of a Zimbabwean immigrant striving in South Africa. She has also served as head writer for the long-running South African drama Rhythm City, where under her leadership, the show achieved its highest ratings and won multiple. Her other notable works include creating the supernatural drama OMEN for Showmax and Mzansi Magic, and the advertiser-funded series Ingozi for SABC 1. Zulu's writing credits span popular series such as Emmerdale (ITV), Uzalo, Isibaya, The Wild, and Lockdown. Represented by Aoife Lennon-Ritchie at Torchwood Literary, Zulu continues to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
