Biography
Darrel Bristow-Bovey is a prize-winning South African screenwriter, travel writer, and author of six books translated into seven languages, including Spanish, Estonian, and Portuguese. Born in Durban and educated at the University of Cape Town under J.M. Coetzee and André Brink, he divides his time between Cape Town, the UK, and a hillside in the Greek Peloponnese. The latter was longlisted for the Sunday Times/Alan Paton Award and remained on bestseller charts for over a year. As a screenwriter, Bristow-Bovey has written for television series such as White Lies, Rhythm City, and Scandal, and feature films including A Sunday Affair and A Jozi Love Story. He is represented by Abram Nalibotsky at the Gersh Agency in Beverly Hills
