Tony Villaflor is an acclaimed re-recording mixer based at the legendary Skywalker Sound in Northern California. A Bay Area native, he joined the studio in 2011 as a mix assistant, where he was mentored by some of the most influential figures in cinematic sound. Over the last decade, he has transitioned into a lead mixing role, specializing in balancing dialogue, music, and sound effects to create a seamless "sonic storytelling" experience. Villaflor is known for his versatility, having worked on everything from intimate indie dramas like Kajillionaire to massive superhero blockbusters like Avengers: Endgame. In 2025, he served as a re-recording mixer on Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another. His work on the film has been lauded for its technical precision and its ability to maintain clarity amidst the film's "sheer thunderous" action sequences.
