Trevor Gumbi is a South African comedian, actor, and writer born on November 23, 1980, in Durban. Renowned for his dynamic stage presence and sharp wit, he gained prominence as co-host and head writer of Mzansi Magic’s entertainment show Headline (2010–2013). Gumbi starred as Gideon Gwinyimbuzi in the SABC1 sitcom Ses'Top La and hosted the travel series Msawawa True South. His versatility extends to roles in Rockville, The Sober Companion, and Netflix's How to Ruin Christmas. A SAFTA-nominated performer, Gumbi is also celebrated for his corporate comedy gigs and contributions to major festivals like Oppikoppi and Rocking the Daisies.
