Biography

Vuyo Dabula is a celebrated South African actor, model, and bodybuilder known for his commanding screen presence and action-hero physique. Born in Mahikeng, he initially studied at Wits Technikon before realizing his true passion lay in performance, leading him to study acting at AFDA Cape Town. He became a household name across South Africa for his long-running role as the charismatic gangster Kumkani "Gadaffi" Phakade in the soap opera Generations: The Legacy. He gained international attention as the lead in the acclaimed African western Five Fingers for Marseilles. Dabula further solidified his global status by starring in Netflix's first African original series, Queen Sono, playing the complex spy-turned-rebel Shandu Magwaza. Despite a recent health scare involving a near-fatal shooting, he has made a triumphant return to screens in productions like Uzalo and The Butcher's Soul.
