BON Awards 2025: Seven Doors, Abanisete Lead the Race

The Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards has announced its 2025 nominees, spotlighting 25 categories that celebrate the finest in Nigerian filmmaking. This year’s edition introduces a new “Best Series” category, a nod to Nollywood’s growing embrace of serialized storytelling.
The nominee unveiling, held on Monday at Victoria Island, Lagos, brought together top filmmakers, actors, and key industry figures in a night that recognized creativity, innovation, and excellence. Leading the pack are Seven Doors and Abanisete, with nine and eight nominations respectively, followed closely by Farmer’s Bride and My Mother Is a Witch, all earning praise for their outstanding performances and technical brilliance.
