Nollywood legend Nkem Owoh, affectionately known by millions as Ukwa, has once again proven why he remains the undisputed king of comedic timing. In a series of recent social media posts that have sent the internet into a frenzy, the veteran actor took a trip down memory lane, revisiting one of the most iconic (and "humiliating") moments of his career.
It all started when Nkem Owoh shared the image below from the 2002 classic movie Mr. Trouble. The image shows the exact moment he was physically hoisted into the air by a Patience Ozokwo. He captioned it with a mock-serious: “I don’t like seeing this picture..”
The response was immediate. Within 24 hours, the post garnered over 132k reactions and 12k comments. Fans were quick to recite the legendary dialogue from that scene "Eliza lifted me up. My legs left the ground. Eliza, you are in trouble o!"
While fans in the comments debated whether the character was named "Eliza" or "Susana," one thing was certain: the chemistry between Nkem Owoh and his frequent on-screen foil, Patience Ozokwor (Mama G), is the stuff of legend.
Not one to let the fans have all the fun, Nkem Owoh followed up with a second image (the one below) featuring a more contemplative, dapper look from the set of Teni's "Zion" music video featuring Olamide. His caption was a playful warning to those still laughing at his "lifting" incident: “I just dey LOOK 👀 all of you wey Dey laugh me cos Susana LIFTED ME UP. That was then sha. She can’t try that again 😏😒”
This second post pulled in another 10k reactions in just eight hours, with fans jokingly pointing out that while he may be "heavier" now, the legacy of that moment is "forever lifted."
Nkem Owoh and Patience Ozokwor were the ultimate power couple of early 2000s Nollywood. Whether they were playing "cat and rat" or partners in chaos, their presence guaranteed a hit.
As we move through 2026, both legends are showing no signs of slowing down. Patience Ozokwor continues to dominate the charts, appearing in Aba Blues (currently in cinemas) and the record-breaking Onobiren, which became the highest-grossing title for March 2026.
Nkem Owoh is set to grace the big screen again very soon. The big news is that the two icons are set to appear together in the upcoming film Call Of My Life, hitting cinemas on May 15th.
Will we see another "lifting" incident, or has Osuofia finally met his match? One thing is for sure: when these two are on screen, the audience is always the winner.
