2025 turned out to be more than a good year for Timini Egbuson — it was the year he fully stepped into his role as a producer and proved he had more to offer behind the scenes. With two major releases in one year, one for the big screen and the other for the digital audience, he showed a level of versatility that many didn’t see coming.
Timini opened the year with his first produced film, Reel Love, which premiered in cinemas on Valentine’s Day. The romantic drama came with an impressive cast list: Timini himself, TJ Omusuku, Bimbo Ademoye, Funke Akindele, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Shaffy Bello, Muyiwa Ademola, Atlanta Bridget, and Efa Iwara. The film didn’t just make noise — it delivered results.
Reel Love crossed the ₦300 million mark at the Nigerian box office, closing at a standout ₦356,824,175. The warm reception and strong turnout made it clear that audiences connected with the story and the performances. After its successful cinema run, the film is now headed to Kava’s streaming platform, where fans will be able to enjoy it all over again.
As the year wrapped up, Timini made another bold move — this time in the digital space. He launched his YouTube channel, Watch Timini TV, on September 15, 2025. Within a short time, the channel gained over 50,000 subscribers, setting the stage for something bigger.
That “something bigger” turned out to be Two Birds, One Stone, his first YouTube-produced film, which he dropped toward the end of the year. The release immediately gained traction, pulling in more than 350,000 views in its first 18 hours. It was a clear sign that fans were ready to follow him beyond the cinema screens and into the online world.
The film features a solid mix of familiar faces: Timini, Tina Mba, Miwa Olorunfemi, Diana Egwuatu, Osereme Inegbenebor, and others. With its strong start, Two Birds, One Stone marks a confident entry into the growing world of Nollywood YouTube films, a space many actors and filmmakers are now exploring.
Between a successful cinema debut and a strong digital launch, 2025 positioned Timini as more than an actor — it showed he’s ready to build, create, and lead his own projects. From the big screen to YouTube, he managed to connect with audiences in different ways, and the results speak for themselves.
If this is what his first year as a producer looks like, then the coming years should be even more exciting to watch.
