Celeste Ntuli is a South African comedian and actress widely regarded as one of the leading voices in the country’s stand-up scene. Born on August 25, 1978, in Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal, she rose from local comedy stages in Durban to national prominence through her sharp wit and relatable storytelling. Celeste Ntuli gained early recognition as a finalist on So You Think You’re Funny in 2009, a breakthrough that launched her professional comedy career. Often referred to as the “queen of Zulu comedy,” she made history as the first South African female comic to release a one-woman show DVD, Seriously, Celeste. Her work spans television and film, with notable roles in Isibaya, Lockdown, and 10 Days in Sun City. Known for blending humor with social commentary, Ntuli continues to shape contemporary African comedy on both local and international stages.
