Biography
Charlie Faulkner Plummer (born May 24, 1999) is an American actor celebrated for his emotional depth and early breakout performances. Born in Poughkeepsie, New York, he grew up moving frequently between Los Angeles and various parts of New York due to his parents’ careers in theater and film. Even though he was shy as a child, exposure to local stage productions helped spark his passion for acting. By age ten he had a manager, and as his filming work increased he transferred to the Professional Children’s School in Manhattan to balance education with work. Plummer’s screen debut came in short films, and his first feature role was in Not Fade Away (2012). He then joined the cast of Boardwalk Empire and later Granite Flats. His lead performance in King Jack (2015) won praise, but 2017 was a turning point: he played John Paul Getty III in All the Money in the World and a troubled teenager in Lean on Pete, the latter earning him the Marcello Mastroianni Award for best emerging actor at Venice. Since then, he has taken on diverse roles in both film and TV, consistently praised for choosing challenging characters and bringing sincerity to his performances.
