Biography
Cooper Hoffman is an American actor born on March 20, 2003. Son of the late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman and costume designer Mimi O’Donnell, he spent his childhood in New York City with two younger sisters. Though his father passed away when Cooper was ten, acting wasn’t his first choice—he once thought the idea intimidating because of what his father achieved. In 2021, Cooper made his film debut in Licorice Pizza, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. His performance drew praise and earned him a Golden Globe nomination, among other awards nods. He has gone on to appear in Wildcat, Old Guy, and played Dick Ebersol in Saturday Night. His upcoming projects include The Long Walk. On stage, he made his Off-Broadway debut in Curse of the Starving Class. Cooper brings a grounded presence to his work, navigating his family legacy while carving out his own path in film and theatre.
