Biography
Ikechukwu Onyeka is a prolific Nigerian film director, producer, and screenwriter from Umuoji, Anambra State. Active since 2000, he has helmed more than twenty Nollywood titles, including A Private Storm, Lies Men Tell, The Duplex, and Brother’s Keeper. Onyeka earned a directing certificate from Colorado Film School, chairs Iykon Productions Inc., and serves on the Directors Guild of Nigeria. Known for emotionally layered storytelling, he blends social themes with commercial appeal, mentoring emerging talent and championing professional standards across Africa’s expanding cinema industry. His films foreground strong female perspectives, complex family dynamics, and moral dilemmas, earning multiple international award nominations
