India Ria Amarteifio is an English actress born on September 17, 2001, in Kingston upon Thames, England. She began performing as a child on the West End, appearing as young Nala in The Lion King, and later in Matilda the Musical and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. After earning a scholarship to the Sylvia Young Theatre School, she transitioned into screen acting with early roles in the BBC film Gangsta Granny, The Interceptor, Doctor Who, Line of Duty and Sex Education. Amarteifio rose to widespread recognition for her leading performance as the young Queen Charlotte in Netflix’s Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2023), a role that earned her the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series.
