Jude Akuwudike is a Nigerian-born actor with a long career in stage, film, and television, largely based in the United Kingdom. He moved to Britain early in life and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 1987. Akuwudike developed a strong reputation in theatre with performances at major venues including the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre, and in classic and contemporary plays across the UK and abroad. On screen, his work spans film and TV, with roles in Beasts of No Nation, Eyimofe, Gangs of London, The Crown, and Fortitude, among others. He has also voiced characters in projects such as The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. His performance in Eyimofe brought him renewed attention in Nigerian cinema.
