Biography
Jodie Turner-Smith (born September 7, 1986 in Peterborough, England) is a British-born actress and former banker whose career pivot took her to modeling and acting. Raised by Jamaican parents, she moved to the U.S. and graduated with a finance degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008. Her breakout role came in the film Queen & Slim (2019), where she starred opposite Daniel Kaluuya, and she has since appeared in projects such as After Yang (2022) and the miniseries Anne Boleyn (2021). Known for her bold style and advocacy for representation, Turner-Smith continues to shape her presence in film, fashion and culture.
