Joe Anoa'i is a powerhouse in the world of sports entertainment and a burgeoning actor. Born into the legendary Anoa'i wrestling dynasty, he initially pursued a career in professional football, playing defensive tackle for Georgia Tech and having stints in the NFL (Vikings, Jaguars) and CFL (Edmonton Eskimos). After transitioning to professional wrestling in 2010, he adopted the name Roman Reigns. He debuted on the main roster as part of the faction The Shield and eventually rose to become the "Face of the Company." His career took a definitive turn when he adopted the villainous persona of "The Tribal Chief," dominating the industry with a historic championship reign that lasted over 1,300 days. Outside the ring, Anoa'i is a survivor. He was diagnosed with leukemia in 2007 and faced a public recurrence in 2018, forcing him to relinquish his title temporarily.
