Biography

Don Lake is a Canadian actor, writer, and producer celebrated for his mastery of improvisational comedy. He attended CalArts before returning to Toronto to join the prestigious Second City Touring Company. He is best known as the longtime creative partner and best friend of Bonnie Hunt. Their collaboration spans decades; they co-created the sitcoms Life with Bonnie and The Bonnie Hunt Show, and co-wrote the film Return to Me. In animation, they famously voice the married couple Stu and Bonnie Hopps in Disney's Zootopia franchise. Lake is also a staple in Christopher Guest's mockumentary ensembles, known for his ability to improvise awkward, hilarious characters in films like Best in Show and Waiting for Guffman. Recently, he gained new fans as the lovable but incompetent Brad Gregory in the Netflix series Space Force.
