Nicholas Stoller

Biography

Nicholas Stoller is a British-American filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer known for his work in comedy films and television. Born on March 19, 1976, in London, England, he was raised in Miami and later attended Harvard College, where he wrote for the comedy magazine The Harvard Lampoon. Stoller began his career writing for television before co-writing the comedy film Fun with Dick and Jane (2005). He made his directorial debut with the romantic comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), which helped establish him as a major voice in modern studio comedy. He later wrote and directed films such as Get Him to the Greek, The Five-Year Engagement, Neighbors, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, and Bros. Stoller also co-wrote The Muppets and its sequel Muppets Most Wanted, helping revive the classic franchise for a new generation. Beyond film, he co-created television series including The Carmichael Show, Friends from College, and Platonic.
