Biography
Philippa Ndisi-Herrmann (born 1985 in Bonn, Germany) is a Kenyan-German filmmaker, photographer, poet, actress and holistic coach. Raised in Nairobi, she creates deeply personal, visually poetic works that explore childhood, memory, spirituality and women’s experiences. Her short film Seeds won the Ecumenical Jury Prize at the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen (2017) and her documentary New Moon (2018) — about environmental and spiritual upheaval in coastal Kenya — won Best Documentary at the Durban International Film Festival. Besides film, she works as a life-coach, astrologer, yoga instructor, photographer and event curator, blending artistry with spiritual and personal growth practices.
