Melvin Alusa is a Kenyan actor known for his work in film, television and stage. Born in Nairobi, he’s featured in international and local productions such as The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, The First Grader, and Mission to Rescue. In 2021, his performance in “Mission to Rescue” earned him the Best Actor award at the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF). Over the years he has balanced screen acting with theatrical and radio-drama roles, and has appeared in Kenyan television series including Crime and Justice. Off-screen, Alusa is father to multiple children and is the older brother of musician Bien-Aime Baraza.
