Muthoni Gathecha (born April 8, 1962) is a seasoned Kenyan actress and former education professional. She trained in psychology and worked in educational administration before transitioning into acting in her 50s. Gathecha became widely known for her roles in Kenyan television dramas such as Kona (as Ariya Oyange), Pray & Prey (as Margaret), and Skandals Kibao (as Mama). Her film work includes features like This Is Life, The System, and Sincerely Daisy. She has also appeared in productions under Africa Magic and taken part in commercials and theatre. Gathecha is a mother of three and balances screen acting with public speaking and mentorship
