Phoebe Mary Waller-Bridge (born 14 July 1985) is an English actress, screenwriter, and producer whose work has reshaped modern TV and theatre. She grew up in London, with two siblings, and studied drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Early in her career she co-founded DryWrite, a theatre company through which she experimented with writing and performance. Her breakout came with Fleabag, adapted from her one-woman show. She created, wrote, and starred in it; the series won multiple Emmys, Golden Globes, and a BAFTA. She also created Killing Eve, serving as writer and producer, gaining praise for its dark humour, sharp dialogue and character depth. Her screen credits include roles in Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Iron Lady, Goodbye Christopher Robin, and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. She contributed to the screenplay of the James Bond film No Time to Die. Across genres she balances comedy and drama, often playing morally complex or flawed characters with wit and honesty. Her work is noted for emotional rawness, intelligent writing and an ability to surprise and provoke.
