Raymond S. Persi is an Emmy-winning director, storyboard artist, and voice actor. He began his career as a director for The Simpsons during its post-classic era, directing episodes like "The Seemingly Never-Ending Story." He moved to Walt Disney Animation Studios as a story artist, contributing to hits like Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, and Zootopia. He often provides "scratch vocals" (temporary voices used during production) that end up being so good they are kept in the final film. This is how he landed the role of Flash, the excruciatingly slow sloth in Zootopia. He continues to direct animation, recently helming several Peanuts specials for Apple TV+. He returns as Flash in Zootopia 2 (2025).
