Biography

Yngvill Kolset Haga is a Norwegian casting director and film professional known for her work on feature films and television. She grew up in Oslo, Verdal and New York, studied drama and theatre communication, and graduated from the Norwegian Film School as a producer in 2006. Since 2010 she has worked as a casting director on a wide range of projects, including Verdens verste menneske (The Worst Person in the World) and Thelma, collaborating with director Joachim Trier. Haga’s portfolio spans Norwegian cinema and international co‑productions, and she has cast for both cinema and TV. In 2025 she received a nomination for the European Film Academy’s first Casting Director award for her work on Sentimental Value, sharing the nomination with Avy Kaufman. Her reputation in casting is built on a deep understanding of character and an ability to blend local talent with international voices in film projects.
