Michael Bobby Obodo is a Nigerian-born actor, political scientist, writer, entrepreneur, and human rights advocate living in Canada. He began his Nollywood career in 2011 with Weekend Getaway, acting alongside Genevieve Nnaji, Ramsey Nouah, Monalisa Chinda, and other top names. Since then, he has featured in several productions such as A Mother’s Fight, Volunteers filmed in Liberia, Reflections and Kamara’s Tree shot in Sierra Leone, as well as 30 Years a Virgin, Misplaced, Mrs. Somebody, and My Life, My Damage. Originally from Warri in Delta State, Bobby studied Sociology at the University of Benin before moving to Canada, where he completed a degree in Political Science at York University. While in Toronto, he founded Nigerian Youths for Change and ALL IN, organizations aimed at empowering African youths and promoting civic responsibility. Beyond his work in film and activism, he is passionate about entrepreneurship and continues to use his platform to advocate for African voices, inspire young people, and build cross-cultural connections between Nigeria, Canada, and the global community.
